In order to position the Company for continued future growth and to bolster management’s listed company experience, Nutrano has recently appointed Steven Chaur as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to complement the strategic and operational role of Tony Mahoney (co-founder of Nutrano), who has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Tony Mahoney

Tony has over 20 years’ experience in the fresh food and retail sectors in Australia, having held several senior roles and engagements with major businesses in those sectors. As the Chief Executive Officer of Freshmax Australia Pty Ltd, Tony grew the business organically and by acquisitions both domestically and globally over a period of 10 years. Having co-founded Nutrano in 2016, Tony works closely with growers and financiers to develop Nutrano’s business model into a strategic and integrated agricultural asset management company.

Chaise Pensini

Chaise has over 28 years’ experience in growing and marketing produce, having been raised on a banana farm. He has served in various roles in the agricultural sector with responsibilities spanning wholesale markets, ripening, sales, marketing, supply chain and key account management. Chaise joined Nutrano in 2016 and brings to the Group a vast network of contacts across the industry and exceptional relationships with growers and major retailers including Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Costco.

Chaise also represents the Australian banana industry on the Strategic Investment Advisory Panel, which is responsible for providing strategic advice to Horticulture Innovation Australia on its investments in research and development, trade and marketing to increase productivity, farm gate profitability and the global competitiveness of Australian horticulture industries.

Richard Byllaardt

Richard has responsibility for the day-to-day management of Seven Fields with an emphasis on all of the production, post-harvest activities and marketing of produce. Richard is a former owner of Seven Fields and has been with them since 2006. Prior to this, Richard was employed by Australian Vintage Limited for 12 years. In that role, Richard personally developed in excess of 3,600 hectares of new vineyards. Before joining Australian Vintage Limited, Richard gained extensive experience working in technically advanced irrigation management operations in Israel where principles of micro irrigation were pioneered.

Richard holds a Certificate in Farm Practices – Rural Strand, Certificate III in Food Processing – Wine and a Certificate IV in Agriculture.

Clinton Orr

Clinton leads the group’s legal, compliance and governance functions and brings over 10 years’ experience in legal and governance roles to Nutrano. Before joining Nutrano, Clinton was General Counsel and Company Secretary of Patties Foods Ltd, an ASX listed food manufacturer.

Jeff Pentney

Jeff possesses over 25 years experience in the field of human resource management across a range of blue chip companies in the FMCG, Telecommunications, Specialty Chemicals, Mining and Construction sectors. Through his senior HR roles, Jeff has supported successful organizational and transformational change while developing sustainable and inclusive workplace cultures. Jeff has degree qualifications in Economics and Post Graduate qualifications in Business Administration.
