Chapman nominated for award

5 AUGUST 2022

Tania Chapman's advocacy for the citrus industry has earned her a nomination for a Victorian Community Achievement Award.

The Victorian Community Achievement Awards, which have just completed their state-wide search for community contributors, announced Ms Chapman's nomination on Thursday.

The awards aim to celebrate regional communities and the individuals within them.

Nominated for the Regional Development Victoria Leadership and Innovation Award, Ms Chapman's nomination form stated that her passion of leading by example had seen her rise to be the chair of the industry's peak body, Citrus Australia, and be the go-to person for her growers.

Tania had to show leadership and innovation qualities, outcomes and successes, the overcoming of barriers or difficulties, community benefit and a continued legacy.

The winner of the award receives $2000 in prices and a trophy.

Finalists will be presented and winners announced at an awards gala presentation dinner on November 11.
