Nutrano sells banana assets to Lamanna Premier Group (LPG)

26 APRIL 2022

Nutrano Produce Group has announced an agreement to sell its banana assets to Lamanna Premier Group (LPG), enabling Nutrano to focus on delivering its long-term strategy to drive investment and growth in Citrus, Tropical fruit and Blueberries business. The deal includes the sale of Nutrano’s Sydney and Melbourne banana operations, including its banana ripening facility and stands at the Sydney Markets, and its Melbourne warehouse.

“This transaction creates an opportunity for us to focus on accelerating growth plans in our core categories. We’re really excited about working with our growers, partners and customers to ensure we stay at the forefront of citrus, tropical fruit and blueberries,” Mr Birt said.

“We’re always looking for ways to grow our footprint to support our existing well-established farms in Sunraysia (VIC), Central Burnett (QLD) and Katherine (NT) to ensure we can continue to maximise returns for our customers and our growers.” Mr Birt said.

Transition plan is now underway with the transaction expected to be completed by the end of May 2022.
