Tommy Braybrook Wins Citrus Australia Emerging Leader Award

4 MARCH 2026

Tommy CA Award

Nutrano Produce Group is proud to announce that Tommy Braybrook, Farm Manager of their Sunwest property in the Sunraysia region of Victoria, has been named the winner of the 2026 Citrus Australia Emerging Leader Award. The award recognises outstanding leadership and innovation across Australia’s growers and packers and was awarded at this year’s Citrus Congress in Adelaide.

Tommy began his farming career in 2006 with the former Seven Fields operations, starting with his hands in the soil, building practical experience in farm and tree health management. Today, he plays a pivotal leadership role within Nutrano’s Sunraysia operations - home to one of Australia’s largest Afourer and Delite mandarin programs and contributes significantly to Nutrano’s ongoing expansion in the region.

A strong advocate for progressive, future‑focused farming, Tommy has led the adoption of advanced irrigation systems, modern technology, and sustainable practices that have improved tree health, productivity and long‑term resilience. He has also championed Nutrano’s shift toward data‑driven agriculture, introducing AI‑enabled crop monitoring, forecasting tools, and on‑farm decision‑support systems that have enhanced accuracy, boosted operational efficiency, and strengthened strategic planning.

Beyond his technical achievements, Tommy is highly respected for his commitment to developing people. He invests significant time mentoring emerging agronomists, upskilling team members across multiple sites, and fostering a culture of confidence, capability and collaboration. His approachable leadership style and passion for sharing knowledge have elevated capability not only across Nutrano’s operations but also within the broader citrus community.

Tommy is also a valued industry ambassador. He regularly hosts grower tours, study groups and domestic and international customer visits proudly showcasing Australian citrus and championing industry best practice.

David Jordan, CEO of Nutrano Produce Group, said:

“I’m so proud of Tommy and genuinely thrilled to see him recognised on a national stage. Anyone who knows him understands how much heart he puts into everything he does. His commitment to innovation, sustainability, best practice farming and developing people isn’t just talk, it’s how he shows up every day.

Tommy represents the kind of leadership our industry truly needs. He has a natural way of lifting those around him, backing his team, and embracing technology that drives better outcomes for growers and the broader sector. What’s always stood out to me most is his deep respect for the land, his dedication to best practice farming, and his unwavering passion for our industry.

This award is such a well-deserved recognition of the hard work, integrity and impact he’s had, not only within Nutrano, but right across the Australian citrus community.”

The Citrus Australia Emerging Leader Award celebrates individuals who are shaping the future of the citrus industry. Tommy’s achievements position him among the most influential young leaders in Australian horticulture.
